About Me
I originally set out to be an occupational therapist so that I could help others in the same way that I was helped when I was young, living with a disability. However, I knew that much math wasn't in my future, so when I learned about social work and all of the other ways I could still help others to heal, I was set on it.
I've always been interested in how a person's past can shape them in so many different ways, positive or negative, and I wanted to be the person that others could come to in order to process and move through the difficult moments in life. In therapy, my style is more laid-back, especially working primarily with kids and teens.
I like to meet my clients where they are and approach sessions in a collaborative and strengths-based way to fit each client's unique needs.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our fur babies (two chunky cats and a dog), being outdoors, reading, and going thrifting. Lastly, the coolest place I've traveled to would have to be Ecuador when I was in high school, where I got to take time with a team to help clean up an old building to be used as a support call center for those in need.
