About Rebecca

Rebecca DeLong, LCSW is the owner and a provider for Tranquil JC, LLC. Rebecca has been providing therapy services for over 16 years, initially in New York state and now in East Tennessee.  Rebecca and her partner moved to Tennessee to work and raise their family amongst the stunning scenery of the mountains and landscape. Rebecca enjoys gardening, spending time with her family, hiking, attending local concerts and reading.

Rebecca graduated from Syracuse University with her Masters degree in social work, has been practicing counseling services since 2008. Rebecca specializes in treating anxiety disorders and trauma. Rebecca is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Gottman and Imago couples' therapy, and in Eye Movement Densensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Additionally, Rebecca has managed an outpatient clinic for behavioral health in New York, leading a group of social workers, psychologists, nurses, and doctors to provide quality care to individuals seeking treatment.

About Skyler

Skyler Baker, LPC joined Tranquil JC in January 2024. Skyler has been a dedicated mental health professional of over 4 years. Skyler earned a Bachelors in Psychology from Lees-McRae College and then a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Milligan University.

 

Skyler is grounded in holistic counseling and evidence-based approaches, ensuring a safe and therapeutic space for healing. Skyler specializes in treating trauma, depression, individuals going through life transitions and anxiety and working with individuals 13 and older. She also works with couples and family units. Skyler has experience working with trauma through the use of Internal Family Systems techniques and somatic based processes. Skyler also works with marriage and family issues using the Gottman Method. Skyler uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques to help work through anxiety and depression. 

 

Skyler ensures therapy is a safe space for the LGBTQIA community and continues ongoing education to recognize and support the unique needs of diverse individuals. Central to her approach is the belief in the profound impact of the therapeutic relationship on the healing journey.

About Desarei

Desarei Hoss, LCSW has been with Tranquil JC since May 2024. Desarei has over 10 years of clinical experience in mental health proceeding twelve years as a veteran. We are very grateful for her service to our country and to her service to our community. She also has spent four years guiding social work graduate students as a field supervisor to pass on her skills to up and coming therapists. Desarei graduated from East Tennessee State University.

 

Desarei utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), solution-focused therapy and motivational interviewing skills to assist teens and adults processing transition in their life, and the stressors that can develop as a result. She is experienced in addressing depression, hopelessness and supporting individuals through delicate situations. 

 

Desarei has specialized experience with Veteran-related transitions, as well as chronic health challenges and grief associated with various forms of loss or change (loved ones, job loss, new responsibilities or roles, divorce, separation). She has also co-led a grief and loss support group for caregivers of loved ones who have passed. Desarei has additional training as a victim advocate of domestic abuse/violence and sexual assault and has worked previously within law enforcement as a crisis advocate. She is passionate about educating others about cultural diversity and has offered trainings for organizations around identifying and remedying discrimination and harassment in workplace environments.

 LakenSchang

Laken Schang, LCSW starts with Tranquil JC in October of 2024. Laken has over 10 years of clinical experience in mental health working in Virginia, Florida and Tennessee. Laken graduated from East Tennessee State University.

Laken specializes in working with individuals who are experiencing OCD (obsessive compulsive disorders) and other related anxiety challenges. Laken has received extensive training to be an OCD specialist and utilizes Habit Reversal Training (HRT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). She is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Behavior Activation, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Person Centered Therapy. Laken also specializes in working with and supporting women during their perinatal and post-partum period of their lives.

 

Laken has a passion for working with others to recognize and reach their fullest potential. Laken wants others to experience life outside of their fears. Laken is dedicated to providing a safe and comfortable environment during therapy sessions. "I want individuals to always take something away from our sessions together. Jonathan Seay III, LCSW, EMT-P

Jonathan Seay III, LCSW, EMT-P will be joining Tranquil JC in October 2024. Jonathan began his career as a therapist supporting individuals facing acute challenges, an area he comes to with a vast experience dating back to 2012 as a flight medic, advanced EMT and firefighter with the United States military. 

 

Jonathan brings a calming energy while supporting individuals experiencing complex challenges and trauma. He is trained and experienced with using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapies (DBT).
